Wine and Culinary Seminars

Heighten your Grand Wine Tasting experience by participating in our informative seminars. Chef Tim Creehan will teach his signature cooking techniques during live cooking demonstrations performed on top-of-the-line DCS cooking systems. Each delicacy will be paired with a wine presented by Michael Bryan, executive director of the Atlanta Wine School, as he discusses the pairing and the history of wine. Three seminars will take place throughout the day, running 50 minutes each.

Seminar Schedule

1st session:  2:30 – 3:20 p.m.

2nd session:  3:30 – 4:20 p.m.

3rd session:  4:30 – 5:20 p.m.

Admission to the seminars is included with purchase of a Grand Wine Tasting ticket.

Michael Bryan is Executive Director of the Atlanta Wine School (AWS). Bryan serves on staff for almost every major wine festival in Atlanta and speaks on wine-related subject matter for private, public and trade events. Bryan has appeared in over 20 regional and national publications, along with radio & television spots, and most recently as guest "wine guy" on Alton Brown's "Good Eats", as well as "Good Day Atlanta".

Bryan's deep-rooted passion around wine lead to the creation of an organization that uses wine to foster connections with people on multiple levels. He believes, like a fine wine, life must be full, rich and balanced. AWS embodies his passion and allows him to share it with a great number of people.

In the last decade wine enthusiasts have moved from enjoying wines of industrial production to artisanal hand-crafting. These seminars will tell the story of the people, their passion, and the wines they create by hand.

As the owner of two Destin, Florida restaurants, Beach Walk Crystal Beach and Creehan's Copper Grill and Destin's new DCS Culinary Center, Chef Tim Creehan is living the dream. At 41, he is a Certified Executive Chef, author, teacher, inventor, dynamic entertainer and a steward of his community.

When it comes to sharing his love for the culinary arts, Creehan is on a joyful mission that has produced exceptional culinary tools. He has written two cookbooks, Simple Cuisine and Flavors of the Gulf Coast, patented a non-stick grilling instant marinade, Chef's Grill Plus, and owns and operates two award-winning restaurants.

Tim Creehan and Beach Walk Crystal Beach have earned numerous awards and accolades including; "Florida Trendís Golden Spoon – Top 25 Restaurants in Florida", "Award of Excellence" from DiRoNA and Wine Spectator as well as "Best Chef on the Emerald Coast" the past five years.

With Chef Creehan's unfaltering energy, passion for the culinary arts and natural teaching talents, we are fortunate to have his participation in the Southern Breeze Wine + Culinary Festival Presented by DCS by Fisher and Paykel. In addition to leading Saturday's culinary demonstration, Creehan is a featured chef for one of the Wine Dinners and our celebrity emcee for the Gulf Coast Chef Challenge.
